With the flexible and accessible financial offerings, an official of Asialink Finance Corporation is optimistic of hitting their P17 billion loan disbursement target as more entrepreneurs take advantage of the economy’s expansion.
“As of August 2025, we have already released P10.7 billion in loans, and we expect this to grow steadily in the remaining months of the year,” Asialink president and chief executive officer Samuel Cariño told the Philippine News Agency Tuesday.
The online financial company offers loans to micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), including collateral loans and auto loans.
Last July, the company launched its WAIS Loan program, aimed at extending up to P20 million to women entrepreneurs. The loan program has received the support of the Asian Development Bank and the International Finance Corporation.
Last Sept. 24, the company announced that it tapped singer-actress Jolina Magdangal as its brand ambassador.
Cariño said having the actress as the company’s WAIS (wise) loan ambassador is aimed “to connect with more women entrepreneurs in a way that feels relatable and inspiring.”
He said the actress “represents resilience, hard work, and the ability to balance family and career -- values that resonate with many Filipinas who aspire to grow their businesses.”
