INTERESTED in buying a house and lot?
The Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) said that they had increased the Value-Added Tax (VAT) exemption purposes, for the threshold of the sale of house and lot, and other residential dwellings.
According to the BIR, from the present P3,199,200, they are now allowing the threshold of P3,600,000.
The BIR said that this is due to the National Internal Revenue Code, to which it mandates that the subject amount to be adjusted to its present value every 3 years using the Consumer Price Index as published by the Philippine Statistics Authority.
According to BIR Commissioner Romeo Lumagui Jr. this is the agency's commitment to excellent taxpayer service.
