Clark Water Corp., the sole water and wastewater service provider of the Clark Freeport Zone in Central Luzon, said that they were able to set aside P5.56 billion in capital expenditures which will be used for the services and implement projects for the fulfillment of service obligations.
It can also be used for compliance with regulatory requirements.
According to Clark Water, the capex amount is under its 2023-2040 Service Improvement Plan.
Clark Water is a subsidiary of Manila Water Philippine Ventures, which is aimed to increase the current supply by 22%.
It was earlier learned that the capex allocation will pave the way for the development of new infrastructure anchored on water security, service quality, service accessibility and continuity, and regulatory compliance, according to Manila Water Philippine Ventures CEO and Clark Water president Melvin John Tan.
It is said that the water distributor is embarking on the exploration of sustainable water sources and water reuse.
When it comes to wastewater management, Clark Water noted that they would ensure compliance with environmental standards in the completion of its retrofitting and construction works at its wastewater treatment facility.
