BAGUIO CITY – Processes of the Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) is now 98 percent digital, and the agency bids to continue using artificial intelligence to address members’ queries.
“Sa ease of doing business, matagal na nating ginagawa 'yan. We call that Ginhawa for All (Ease for All). For loan application, inquiries, annual reporting of pensioners, they are all done online now (For ease of doing business, we have been doing that for a long time and we call that Ease for All. For loan application, inquiries, annual reporting of pensioners are all online now),” GSIS president and general manager Jose Arnulfo Veloso said on the sidelines of the inauguration of the GSIS-Baguio office Friday.
The Baguio office caters to 162 agencies in Baguio, Benguet and Mountain Province, with more than 30,000 active members and some 9,700 pensioners and surviving spouses.
Veloso said their members, pensioners or the surviving spouses can now avail of GSIS services using the agency’s app, GSIS Touch, on their phone.
He said proceeds of a loan application, once approved, can be remitted to the member’s account at the end of the office hours.
He also said that pensioners who are required to report for proof of life as a requirement to continue receiving pension can just scan their face using the GSIS application and that will be their proof, a big help especially for those who have mobility issues.
“Ang parating naiisip sa paggawa ng ease of doing business (ay) pagbigay ng ginhawa and that answers the question about digitalization (When we think of ease of doing business, we always think of giving convenience and that is the answer from digitalization),” he added.
