THE first day of February was greeted by an upward adjustment in the retail prices of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG).

In separate advisories, Petron said that they had hiked the prices of household LPG price by P0.95 per kilogram, effective 12 a.m. on February 1.

It is said to be equivalent to some P10 increase in the price of a typical 11-kilogram LPG cylinder.

“This reflects the international contract price of LPG for the month of February,” Petron said.

Meanwhile, Solane said that they increased its LPG price by P0.91 per kilogram — translating to around P10 hike for an 11-kilogram LPG tank. The adjustment took effect on February 1 at 8 a.m.

This marks the second consecutive month of hikes for the LPG prices since the beginning of the year, to which a P3.40 per kilogram increase was imposed.
