WEST Zone concessionaire Maynilad Water Services Inc. (Maynilad) said that they had earmarked some P31 billion worth of investments for their water and wastewater projects for the year 2024.

According to Maynilad that they are spending for 2024 for their capital investment since water services in Metro Manila were privatized in 1997.

The company said the majority of the budget, which amounts to P11.4 billion, was anchored for the wastewater management projects.

Among them include the construction of new Sewage Treatment Plants and laying of new sewer lines.

Meanwhile, some P8.72 billion was earmarked for water source projects.

This will enable Maynilad to tap alternate raw water sources and generate more supply for customers.

On the other hand, another P6.27 billion was allotted for operations support projects.

This will entail various upgrades and the construction of key facilities.

They include pumping stations, water reservoirs, and primary lines, among others.

This as some P4 billion will be dedicated to the company’s non-revenue water reduction program and service expansion initiatives.
