ELECTRIC power supply in provinces seemed to be escalating as the Razon-led MORE Electric and Power Corp. warned their customers that there could be a possible rotational power interruption in its franchise area.

This is due to the insufficient power generation supply, as mainly due to the  unavailability of a power plant.

According to MORE Power, the unavailability of a power plant for the next three to five days has caused greatly insufficient generation of power that leads to manual load drops (MLDs).

“Though this is just a possibility of MLD, we advise our consumers to be more efficient in using electricity and be prepared for possible outage affecting your area,” the advisory read.

According to the Energy Regulatory Commission, MORE Power is the sole distributor in Iloilo City, as it took over from Panay Electric Company (PECO).

Among those covered in the Negros subgrid are portions of the Central Negros Electric Cooperative (CENECO), Negros Occidental Electric Cooperative (NOCECO), Northern Negros Electric Cooperative (NONECO), and the Negros Oriental Electric Cooperative (NORECO) I and II.
