BACOLOD CITY – Negros Occidental Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson reaffirmed the provincial government's full support for the Philippine National Police during a formal New Year's Call with police officials on Monday.
Lacson welcomed Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office director Col. Dennis Wenceslao and his staff at the Provincial Capitol, expressing confidence in the new director's leadership.
“This year marks the first New Year’s Call of Col. Dennis Wenceslao here in the province. Allow me to take this opportunity to express our full support and confidence in your leadership,” Lacson said.
He pledged to work closely with NOCPPO to strengthen professionalism and responsive law enforcement, acknowledging officers' dedication and their role in disaster response.
“Rest assured, the provincial government remains a steadfast partner in advancing not just the rule of law, but also the welfare of our police force,” Lacson added.
Wenceslao thanked the province for its consistent logistical and operational support, which he said contributes to efficient police response and public confidence. He cited their strong coordination as key to maintaining peace and order.
