THE National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) had again placed the Luzon and Visayas grids under a yellow alert status for Wednesday afternoon.
According to the NGCP, the yellow alert status starts at 1 p.m.
For the Luzon grid, it will last until 11 p.m. and until 10 p.m. in Visayas.
Under a yellow alert status, it meant that the energy reserves are thin under several respected areas.
Some 18 power plants are currently on forced outages.
On the other hand, three others are running below normal capacity in Luzon.
Meanwhile, in the Visayas, some 13 power plants are from the forced outages and five others are operating below normal capacity.
