OIL prices are expected to go up for the fourth time in as many weeks this year, with gasoline having a P3/liter increase in 2024.

According to separate advisories the following price hikes effective Tuesday, January 29

Pilipinas Shell and Petron said they will have a P2.80/L increase for gasoline; while kerosene will be at P0.45/L increase; and diesel for P1.30/L increase.

According to DOE Director Rodela Romero, this may be due to the lowering of US crude stock amid high demand and the Chinese central bank's release of a stimulus package for economic recovery, which is also demand-related.
