THE revenue of the Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) grew 30.19 pct to P21.06 billion during the first 10 months of 2023.

According to the PPA, their service as well as business had contributed 41.33 percent or P8.70 billion of total revenues.

Their regulatory income is at P8.60 billion.

Meanwhile, the interest and gains stood at P3.75 billion.

Meanwhile, the PPA noted that their net income is at P9.76 billion. This is  higher by 15.41 percent from the same period in 2022.

Meanwhile, their expenses had reached P3.6 billion from January to October. This is higher by 46.39 percent from the year before. The PPA said that this is mainly due to the high budget utilization for their project implementation. 

For October the PPA noted that their revenue increased by 71.55 percent to P2.25 billion. 

Meanwhile, as of October 2023, the PPA said that they are implementing 74 locally-funded projects, 36 of which are in Luzon. Nineteen are in Visayas, while another 19 are in Mindanao.
