Businesses and entrepreneurs now have a guide to registering with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

SEC, in a press release on Wednesday, said the improved SEC Academy platform, academy.sec.gov.ph. guides users on the step-by-step process in company registration through the Electronic Simplified Processing of Application for Registration of Company (eSPARC) to ensure their compliance with requirements and in creating an account under the Electronic SEC Universal Registration Environment (eSECURE) to access all SEC digital services.

“As the SEC continues to transform the business registration process and shift services online, we want to ensure that it remains easy and accessible to all entrepreneurs, whether they are tech-savvy or not,” SEC Chairperson Francis Lim said.

“With the launch of the Company Registration Simulation, we aim to demonstrate that registration is simple and straightforward, hopefully empowering entrepreneurs to confidently take the first step in incorporating their business,” he added.

SEC said these measures are part of the Commission’s goal to provide more businesses with access to SEC’s services and make it easier for companies to register using innovative technologies.
