THE Department of Transportation and Communications said that they have tasked the San Miguel Corp to give airport workers pay hikes and better terms.
This is once they take over the Ninoy Aquino International Airport.
Likewise the DOTr said they had asked the San Miguel Corp-led consortium which took the project to rehabilitate and operate the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) to offer employment packages with “improved terms” to the airport’s workers.
Meanwhile, Batan had said that the workers' groups in NAIA are being consulted as well.
The San Miguel-led consortium won the bidding for the rehabilitation project worth around P170 billion.
