AN industry group said that the Philippines’ IT and Business Process Management industry has created an AI Council, which will be used to upskill the workers in generative AI.

Earlier the  IT and Business Process Association of the Philippines (IBPAP) noted that the industry acknowledges the disruption that a generative AI can offer.

They said that they want to leverage the technology so as the workers can be more productive and efficient. 

The IBPAP noted that the AI Council will likewise collaborate with various learning academies and industry associations.

Among them include the Analytics and Artificial Intelligence Association of the Philippines (AAP). 

“Together, they aim to enhance the workforce's skills in programming, data science, data analytics, and AI ethics, with the overarching goal to empower professionals with advanced capabilities, enabling them to take on higher-value tasks,” the industry group said.

Likewise, the said Generative AI is seen to boost the productivity for contact center agents by 14 percent.
