BUSINESS process outsourcing company Telus said that artificial intelligence (AI) will not displace any human worker.
Speaking at ABS-CBN News Channel, the company stressed that while they are indeed using artificial intelligence, it is aimed at boosting the employees' proficiency.
"Our team leaders (are) being augmented with an actual bot to help them with administrative tasks," said country manager Anne Munoz.
She explained that as they use the human agent in focusing on the connection and conversation, the job of the bot is assisting them by providing them with real time accurate responses as well as solutions to customers.
Munoz also said that presently, they are conducting training with their employees so as to adapt to the changes in the environment.
"We are looking at team members and encouraging employees to have a growth mindset, the ability to be able to adapt and learn faster, so that whichever technology comes our way we are able to adjust and be able to deliver to our end-customer needs," she shared.
