THE Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) said that the unemployment rate fell in October when compared to September.
Likewise, the underemployment rate rose, the PSA said.
According to the latest data, the jobless rate was 4.2 percent in October.
This is lower compared to the 4.5 percent rate that was tallied in September.
The PSA said that it translated to 2.09 million jobless Filipino workers in October, when compared to 2.26 million in the previous month.
Meanwhile, the jobless rate in October this year is lower than the 4.5 percent rate that was seen in the same month last year, and the 4.8 percent clip seen in July this year.
Likewise the underemployment rate is recorded at 11.7 percent in October, to which the value is said to be higher compared to the 10.7 percent clip in September.
