IT took the Star for All Seasons to break what has been speculated in the business community, and that is her husband, Cong. Ralph Recto will be the next Finance Secretary.

Former Batangas Governor Vilma Santos-Recto confirmed this on Thursday in an interview Abante TeleTabloid.

"In fact, manunupma siya tomorrow Jan. 12 bilang bagong Secretary of Finance," Santos said.

Recto will take over the post from Finance Sec. Benjamin Diokno.

"Andoon siya tomorrow kasama ako, kaniyang pamilya," Santos said when asked if her husband will be in Malacañang Palace on Friday.

He is currently serving as one of the deputy speakers of the House of Representatives. 

The Batangas lawmaker also served three terms in the Senate.

He had served as Secretary General of the National Economic and Development Authority from 2008 to 2009 under former President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo.
