THE country’s flag carrier the Philippine Airlines (PAL) said that they had achieved a a higher bottom line by the end of the third quarter of 2023.

In a statement, PAL said that based on their figures, they had a net income of P5.4 billion or approximately $98 million for the months of July–September.

The said number is higher than the P3.5 billion or some $63 million that was tallied for the same period last year.

PAL noted that the positive financial performance had shown a continuing growth of passenger travel.

This also highlighted the expansion of flights across its global network.

The airline company said that they flew four million passengers in the third quarter of 2023, up 54% from the 2.6 million passengers year-on-year.

Meanwhile, the passenger revenues increased to P47.5 billion ($749 million) from P40.8 billion ($610 million) recorded in the third quarter of 2022.
