In partnership with the Department of Transportation (DOTr) and Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA), the Converge ICT Solutions Inc. has launched FREE pure fiber WiFi services at NAIA Terminals 1 and 2.
DOTr Secretary Jaime Bautista puts emphasis on the advantages this initiative brings, both for the airport’s connectivity, and the passengers’ comfort and convenience.
He also conveyed his gratitude to Converge ICT CEO Dennis Anthony Uy for fulfilling his word, following the agreement made in November 2022.
“This launch of alternative WiFi service at Terminals 1 and 2 provides the fast and reliable connectivity much needed when travelling. This also makes NAIA compliant with the law that mandates free wif service in all public places, such as airports,” Secretary Bautista said.
To recall, fiber-powered connectivity at Terminals 4 and 3 has been previously launched respectively. In the coming months, various domestic and international gateways are also slated to be covered by the free connectivity.
Other key officials present in the event were MIAA General Manager Eric Jose Ines, CAAP Director General Manuel Antonio Tamayo, CAAP Deputy Director General for Administration Danjun Lucas, Pasay City Mayor Imelda Calixto-Rubiano, Converge ICT COO Jesus Romero, and CCO Benjamin Azada.
