CONSULTATIONS for the minimum wage adjustment in Metro Manila has been set, the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) said.
According to DOLE, it will begin on Thursday.
Likewise, the department said that the consultations with the labor and employer sectors in Metro Manila will start on May 23 and June 4.
Meanwhile, a public hearing is expected on June 20.
After the consultations, the NCR’s Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board (RTWPB) is set to decide on the adjusting for the minimum wage for the region.
The consultation is being done amid President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s call with the RTWPB during his Labor Day address.
The president asked the RTWPB to initiate a timely review of the regional minimum wage rates “within 60 days prior to the anniversary of their latest wage order.”
